Hinckley Helpers are a not for profit organization supporting the Hinckley community and those in need locally. We are volunteer run and help a number of local charities and organizations as well as individual referrals.
We have been involved with the homeless hostels and domestic violence refuges, We have taken referrals from surestart and helped families in poverty.
We provide aid, clothing and help setting up young mum’s.
Our office is located within Amity House with thanks to the Worklink Project and is used mainly for storage, however we are also looking for larger premises due to the high volume of donations we need to store and sort before distribution. All our Volunteers work from home and volunteer as much or as little as they would like.
Currently we are involved in a number of projects locally including the new Allotment project at Gwendoline House. For more information on the project or to get involved click Here.
We have helped so many local people and charities from the new born to old age pensioners in need. One of these is Achieve with us, where we help provide donations to them. We have also been involved with Laurence House and Emmaus.
We are always looking for donations of toiletries, home furnishings, home decor items, baby items, children’s items as well as adult shoes and clothing. As well as Brick-a-Brac that we can sell on to raise funds to cover our administration costs.
If you would like to see what we do then we will be updating this blog regularly, all the posts can be found Here.
